yesterday upon the body of young Hunter, whose
death by drowning we noticed in our. last issue.
The Jury posed • resolution of condolence with
the afflicted mother, who but ai few weeks ago
.buried another of her family. •
The name of the brave rescue of Dorke, the
companion of James Hunter, Is Hagar 0117.1,1 ,
tuts. At the time of the accident, he was at
work at the null. He immediately flu to aid
them and by means of a board, after breaking
repeatedly through the ice, at the imminent risk
of his life, succeeded in pulling Dorke on the Ice,
by which time. however, Minter had gone to the
bottom. It Is seldom 'we are called upon to re
cord such instances of bravery, rendered the
morn apparent, by the pusilanimity of those on
the ice, who made no attempt, whatever, to save
the flies of the boys.

FATALACCIDIrr.—A middle aged man, named
Charge Saunders, was killed yesterday morning,
in a mosthorrible manner, at Coleman, Heilman
& Co.'s Rolling Mill, ilayardstown. He wee en
gaged in greasing a very large cog wheel, when,
it is supposed, he was struck by the "key" used
do-tighten the cog wheel on the shaft, and was
knocked down, Ms right arm being caughtby the
shaft. When removal from his horrible situation
kin right arm had been literally polled MT, and
his iltd nearly -several from' Ids body. Rio
skull was also badly fractured.
The deceased was aged 'about forty, and had
been in the employ of the Company fora number
of years, as the millwright Ile-Is said to have
been a remarkably' ocher, steady and prudent
•n. lie leaves a very large family in indigent
circumstances.
