vision which repealed the Missouri Compromise,
and opened the territory alike to the'eitizens of
the Union.. lie said the Missouri - Compromise
made au unjust discrimination against the slave
holder; nate his right to carry his property in

the people in all sections of the country, as well
as the committee who reported the bill, believed'
that the prohibition of the Missouri Compromise
was wrong, and inconsistent:with the principles
of the Compronr6e of 1830, and ought to be re
pealed.
