There were no arrivals from below, 'yesterday,
except the Financier and the Wheeling boats.—
Quite a number of boats are now due,' • Business

and Adiral Arch were loading , for St. Louis, the
'Navigator far 'l(nakotMe, the Cuba, Quaker City
and AlkoAray for Cincinnati, and the Fanny
Fern for Louisville:
We find that we were misled as to the number
of coal boats going out - on this rise. The num
ber, of pairs passing through thOlower lock was
176 to 180, and about 20 paii loadedbelow, wak
ing, in round numbers, 200 pairs, or 400 boats, and
containing 4,000,000 bushels. Of these, 26 boat
have teen grounded or steak, containing about
250,000 Imelda, leaviag 3,750,000 bushels as

After deducting all that is likely to go to Now

more beingleft for the cities this side of the Falls

of yesterday.
