AT PITTSBURGH,
On 27th.. 28th, 29th, and 30th September
Mosul —A number of then were shooting at
a mark on Saturday evening at Pine Run, about
four miles above McKeesport, for five outs a
ebot; when some diecusektt arose between two
of the party, Doff and a man named Loughlin,
relatito to the winning of the money, which
resulted in the former cutting the latter through
the heart. Doff who le a shoemaker, was Immo'

Alexander. Laughlin Sworn—Was at the Pine
Run, shooting at a mark - for 5 cents a shot; got
to measuring the shots; while we wore measur
ing the shots, Duff said it was llandsman's mo
tley; I told Duff to hold on until we would moos

the statement of Mr. Laughlin, I took the knife
• from Duff and after the fuse was over, I handed
it to Semen Lsughlin;•the knife was open when I
took It; ho held to it tightly and I jerked It out
of his hand; it was a bleak handled knife with a
large and a small blade; it was the large blade
wsa open when I got it; I seen him walk up
'slowly and strike the blow; never saw Doff before
-yesterday; Laughlin kicked Duff first when they
approached Gaols other; can't esy which struck _
- first;. Duff struck Laughlin about the cheat;
Laughlin struck Duff about the head; they were
both a little under the influence of liquor; Laugh
lin had inflicted a kick and a stroke with his fiet
before Duff approached hi

mill of Messrs Bassett, Marshall, & Co. yester
day in Sligo by invitation to observe the process

probably not be the least unimportant item

large number of assistants, so that the visitors
will experience little delay in being served. Ilia
