In this lohool there 'ars twelve large, wawa
'lilted, and well lighted apartments, all farnished
di a similar nianner, the only difference being
the height and breadth of the mai, being made
to suit scholars of different ages. • Each scholar

ohildren are carried regularly from one grado to

thorough English education, inducting the higher
branches of 'mittlematies, and those who wish
to do so, are prepared for college. There are
' 'out nine hundred caitdren tioght in this school;
and such Is the- pattern eratem introduced, and
the great facilities afforded by the noble build
ing occupied, that not the least confusion or ne
glees is apparent. All the children are thorough
ly taught.
We visited all the rooms, and heard classes in
each recite, who all acqiitted themselves well.
Singing Is also taught, by a teacher employed
espinbilly for that purpose, and the young folks
appeared to take particular delight in this exer-
