in securing excellent depot grounds in oblongs,

city. The auhscriptions of stock along the line
ere quite large, while the right of way costs

prepared for the rails, aid if.the Iron can be

The line from thin oily to Chicago Is in the
following condition. From Pittsburgh to Crest
line, the Ohio and Fecuseulvaniillailroad will be
finished &bent the first of :Februiry. , From
Creation to Fort Wayne, the Ohio and Indiana
road le under contract the' whole way, and the
grading and bridging will be eompleledearly in
the spring. The iron heti been perahaeed, and

Railroad Company have employed engineers
from the New' York end Erie Railroad, to "make
a survey through Warren and Crawford counties,.
Pennsylvania, and upon their report of the pros-

Allegheny Valley. Railroad, will depend upon
whether another railroad shall be made across

mirers in Pittsburgh to atop the Luke Shore

Olean, and traversing the counties of Warren and;

or as nearly so as practicable. We have been
aware of this Important contemplated connection
with the Erie Road, as well as the Allegheny
Valley connection to Pittaburgh r for tome weeks; I
but was not aware, until made so to•day;that it
was to be of uniform wide page. The Cinoin

name project:
A project is on foot, and is . pressed with great
earnestness by Eastern ospitalista, as well ashy
many enterprising citizens in Ohio, to caution
a line of railway front Olean, New York, through
Penturylvattla and Ohio,. to connect with lines
leading to Indiana and to Cincinnati, at some
suitable point 44Dhio. Thin track to connect
with the New York and Erie Road at Olean, and
to be a six-foot track, so aitto open an unbroken
wide allege from New York to thin city. The
proposed line, as we understandat, passes down
•Ihe Valley of the Allegheny, say to Warren, Pa.,
thence into Ohio by Warren and Ravenna, and
en to interseet•the Pennsylvania and Ohio Road

to this oily. Should this lino strike Wooster or
Loudonville, It will, probably, take the route
through Mount Vernon, Delaware andiSpring-
Bald in this direotion, and will make a pretty
direct route from this city to Olesn.
