elect two delegates from each district to repro
sent theta' n the county convention—to meet on
this folloiring Wednesday. In the townships
and-boroughs, the election will take place at the

forms. In the Wards of the two cities, both
time end forms ate materially changed. The
hours of election are from 12 31 to 7 o'clock P.
hf., and the rote is to be by ballot. This gives

The County Convention, this year, will hove a
very Important and responsible duty to perform,
and the right kind of men should be chosen to

demanded of Congress their share of the public
lands. Yesterday morning, from twelve to fit.
teen hundred of these little imamate, deeply
impressed with neglected state in which they
• were growing up, marshalled themselves into
troop, of tens, fifties, and hundreds, with their
Mitcham at their heads, and thus orgaelzed, pre
cipitated themselves upon the Capital with a
petition that en immeasurable quantity of public
land be set apart and appropriated to the sop.
