Jan. 3: Council met, pursuant to a coil by the President. (at the request of Messrs., Bruce, Kier, Rinehart, Kennedy, Day and Wil son,) to take action relative to the expected vis it of Governor Ko,sutti, to the city. Present,: Meese, Bruce, Gallagher, Hill, Jones, Kel ly,i Kennedy, Kent, Kier, Wilson and Murray, Pres ident. The reading of the minutes being dis pensed with, Mr. Kent offered the following rev olution, which was read thrice and unriaimously agreed to: Resolved, That the Presidents of Councils be authorized to appoint joint 'committee of five from the Select and seven from Common Coon- cil, to tender the hospitalities of the city of Pitts- ' burgh to the Governor of Hungary.
