carpenter residing in Allegheny, fell yesterday
morning, abone eight o'Clock, from the roof of a
three story brick building belonging to Mrs. Mc-

the :unfortunate man remained insensible for
nearly an honk. Be 'was taken to Allegheny,
where he is note lying In a very critical condition.

states that an explosion occurred on Thursday
' afternoon, at Mr. N. Straub's ilrowery, on Ohio

gine had left it for a few moments, when, in a

tested seats, and, among others, the Hon. J. B.
Stenegere was admitted as a delegate from
Montgomery county.
Mr. Hirst, from the Committee appointed' to
report officers for the permanent organization of
the Convention; reported the following.

The President, on taking the chair, addressed

Mr. Reeder moved to emend, by providing

The Convention on rcasserabling, resumed the
consideration of the original proposition relative
Co the manner of voting for candidates, when,
finally, after considerable discussion, it was
agreed, that in selecting candidates for Judges
of the Supreme 'Court; each delegate shall vede
for five persons, and those who shall receive the
highest number of votes shall be duly nominated
—provided that no . person shall be considered
nominated unless he shall have received at least
a majority of all the votes given, and should not
all be nominated on the first ballot then the
same course to bepuroued until a full ticketshall
be chosen.
