PAni!—AVe hive been requested to suggest tint
preprinty and feasibility of organiring a compa
ny nt Pittsburshers to go to the Great Fair in
London_ Such companies base been organized
in the east, ships have been chartered, and alt
the necessary arrangements made. Are there not
n sufficient number of persons in Pittsburgh and
vicinity who wish to improve this opportunity of
I - Li - Ring, London in company? A company in
New - Haven, Connecticut, composed of 100 per
of both sexeshave chartered a chip $115,-
000, which in to be fitted up with verylsuperior
accommodations, and
,every modern luxury—to
t.site the company to London, board them on
ship baard while there, and bring then{ hack.—
Thin i, et the :ate of $2OO each. No . doubt a
ship could be chartered with very good SlCCOM
modr.twn2, to take a company •for s2o,ooo—or
5200 epiene. This would mute the who:: expense
from Pittsburgh to London and back, less than
$230. The expenses in London would vary with
Ani tonics and habits and means of individuall.
Having boMding and lodging Secured on the sm
eel, $lOO we shoold think would he suanient
to
• rayed the expenses of the varions "sights," with
a Railroad trip to some of the chief cities. This
would 'make the whole expense feces $350 to
s4oo—cheap enough far a voyge to Europe,
and the enjoyment of a month a 's resPdence
London during the Great Fair. Who will go!
If a number of passons can be found to entertain
the project, a mcieting could be held to make at
, rangcntents, ascertain the expense, procure Tab-
Bistence, sir. We make these suggestions at the
desire of n frieMl who wishes to go in this way,
in the coMpany of his friends and neighbor , .

Om readers will perceive, by advertisement in
the appropriate column, 'that the stockholders of
the Cleveland and Pittsburgh Railroad Company
are to hold a meeting this month to take into
consideration the propriety of adopting certain
amendments to the charter. These amendments,
we understand, give the Company the right to
ettend a branch of the road, dean the Ohio river
to Bri,)ge'port, opposite Wheeling. As the Com
pany. also have the right to extend their road up
the river to Beaver, nll the legislation necessary
for a 'Railroad from this city to Bridgport, on the
north'bank of the, Ohio is secured. to ne le

-.IS far as we have learned, and ns the Wheeling
Bridge will doubtless have either to go down al
together, or go up so high us to unfit it for Rail

The securing of this legislation by the Cleveland
