High school and the Manual Training
school, but no action wua taken.
On the recommendation of tho teach
ers' 'committee, Miss Ida Murphy was
tiansf erred fiom No. 19 to No. 38 un-
uex, and Miss Linda McDonald was
appointed to Miss Murnhj's place.
It was agreed that the schools should
close at noon Wednesdny for the
Christmas holidays, to leopcn Jumiaty
5, I8O0, und that the teucheis bo paid
Wednesday afternoon.
On motion of Chniiman Welsh, of the
kindeigartcn committee, the oxpendl
liue of J22.50 was authoiized for ChiKt
nns trees for the kindergartens. The
members also xiusscd a motion that
Chalinian Welsh should ad as Santa
Claus at the kindeigartcn::.

jounger.
The inspector is investigating other
