Nicholson, Aug. 15. Dr. V. C. Decker is performing good service in the small-pox district near West Nicholson. The doctor is deserving of the highest praise and commendation. He Is very much missed socially and profession ally, and his many friends will be glad when he gets through his disagreeable task. He has had seven cases to at tend, flvo of which were varioloid, one discrete and one conlluent small-pox. Seven families are qfcarantlned, be sides the two afflicted families. A JOINT RESOLUTION Proposing an amendment to section ten of article ono of the Constitution, so that a dlschargo of a jury for failure to agreo or other necessary cause shall not work an acquittal.
