Charles Turner, son of Utley Turner,
was fatally injured on the Lehigh Val
ley railroad, Thursday, April 17, and
was removed to Sayre hospital, where
he died today.

Thompson, April 18. At the home of
his daughter, Mrs. F. E. Ingalls, occurr
ed the death of Abraham D. Miller,
Tuesday night. A short service was
held at the house Wednesday evening
at 7.30 p. m. Rev. W. II. French, of
ficiating. The remains were taken to
Hunter, N. Y., Thutsday morning,
where funeral was held Friday. He
leaves three daughters, Mrs. Lake, of
Windsor, N. Y.: Mrs. Wooden, New
York and Mrs. T. K. Ingalls; two sons,
"Willam and J. D. His ago was 77
years.
A. C. Crowley, of Stamicca, was In
town yesterday.
Mrs. S. S. French attended tho funer
al of Mrs. Almura Washburn, at Jack
bon, Wednesday.
Mrs. John Bennett, of Windsor, N. Y
is visiting at A. H. Crosiers.
L. M. Sanford and family spent
Wednesday at W. H. Tallmans.
Two dinner parties were given yester
day. One at Mrs. L. F. Henries, the
other at Mrs. William Whltneys. Both

Miss Mae Carpenter, a graduate of
the Forest City high school, was united
in man luge to George Jones at her
home in Unlondale, last evening. Both
young people have many friends here
who extend congratulations.
The new officers of Clifford Lodge
I. O. O. F., were installed by District
Deputy Salesbury. of Harford, Tuesday
evening. The installation was followed
by a &moker and social session which
was greatly enjoyed.
A. J. Lawrence, who recently left
Forest City for Denver, Col., now has
a lucrative position as state agent for
an Insurance company in Texas.
Rev. C. A. Spalding, of the Baptist
church, Is attending tho conference in
Scranton, this week.
Mrs. F. L. Grander and son Frederick
are visiting friends in Philadelphia.
Rev. R. L. Clark Is in attendance at
the Wyoming conference. It is the uni
versal wish that lie may again bo re
turned to Forest City. He has accom
plished much good during his two years
in tills charge.
Mrs. David B. Thomas, of Gieen
Ridge, spent the eaily part of the week
with friends here.
