Peter Terboss, passed away. She had
been a great sufferer from pleurisy for
some time; and, although fear tilled the
hearts of friends, hope wus not given
up till early this week. She had many
friends in this place, nnd in Bingham
ton, where she spent much of her time.
The funeral services will occur at the
house Saturday at 1.30 p. m. Rev. Mc
Donald, of Windsor, will preach the
funeral sermon. Many friends extend
their sincere sympathy to the bereaved
parents and friends.
Frank Tingley, nn engineer on the
Delaware, Lackawanna and Western
railroad at this place, had his hand
badly sawed Wednesdny afternoon,
while working in his sawmill at Ting
ley. Deputy Sheriff H. S. Conklin was a
business caller in town Wednesday.
Virginia Alden, of Corbettsvllle, is
visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.
S. Alden.
Thomas Walsh, of Corbettsvllle, who
has bepn ill at his home for some time
past, has resumed his duties on the

over the remains of the late Mrs. John
Monohnn at the church of Immacu
late Conception yesterday morning.
The rector, Re,J. F. Moftltt celebrated
the mass and delivered an Impressive
sermon. The remains were borne to
the Sugar Notch cemetery, Luzerne
county, where Interment was made.
The Ladles' Catholic Benevolent asso
ciation, of which the deceased was a
member, attended.
Sabbath services tomorrow at the
M. E. church will be held at the usual
hours. Pastor Rev. C. B. Henry will
officiate. Sabbath school at 2.15 p. m.
