Dun & Company's "Weekly Review of Trade tomorrow will say: Good news predominates in the busi ness world, notwithstanding two some what serious set-backs. Weather eon dltlons have been unsatisfactory, re tarding distribution and delaying out door work. Still more of a handicap is the strife between wage-earner and employer. Manufacturing is excep tionally active, In lines not disturbed by strikes, and there is a vigorous movement of goods through regular channels. Firmness In cotton goods naturally follows the combination of light stocks and the Interruption of work at some mills, with threatened disturbances at others. Foot wear manufacturers have secured a little more business and shops have been able to avoid the re duced time that was feared. More animation has appeared In the speculative markets for staples. Fluctuations were more Irregular In corn, which broke sharply here and at the West, but made a partial recovery, although still remaining below the best price last month. Wheat moved with in narrow limits, varying a fraction, according to the preponderance of good or bad crop news. Western receipts for the week were 1,722,542 bushels, against 2,968,042 last year, and the total for the crop year is gradually falling to last year's figures. Lower prices stimulated exports for a time, but shipments of wheat and flour from all' ports of tho United States during the week were only 3,849,970 bushels, against 4,976,810 last year, and Atlantic exports of corn were only 159,213 bush els against 2,020,319 a year ago. Failures for the week numbered 19S in the United States against 203 last year, and 19 In Canada, against 24 last year, AVOCA. The members of the Fraternal Mystic Chain will meet on Monday evening.
