Thompson, Sept. 6. About 2 o'clock
yesterday afternoon the shlnsle mill
abcut two miles south of fitarrucca,
ntvaed by Andrew A. l'lew and run
by him, blew up, killing Mr. new In
stantly and fearfully scalding A. X.
Osborne and a 10-year-old son of Mr.
Plew. Just how or why the accident
happened will juobuWy neer be
known.
Mr. Osborne will recover, It Is
thought, but trhcre Is little hope that
the boy can lle.
Mr. Plew was an honest, haid-work-In
man, and was well thought of by
his neighbors. He leaves a widow
rd four children. He was a member
of the M K. church at Bethel Hill,
his former home, and was the efficient
superintendent of the SurSTNy school
during his residence thcie. He was
not quite 34 ears old, The funeral
tvM be held here tomorrow morning
and the Interment will be made hcie.
