pany, an appeal from a Judgment of
the com t of common pleas of Wyoming
county, entered on a vcidlct for the
plaintiff, the Supieme court on Monday
handed" down an opinion sustaining the
Judgment, of the couit below. This will
be remembered as the case resulting
from the accidental killing of the little
son of Mr. and Mrs. Olrton at the de
fendant company's station at Hansom,
about two years ago, while attempting
to cio-s the company's tracks, after
being landed from a north-bound train,
in company tflth his mother. They
weie stiuek by the Black Diamond ex
press, the little boy eiuelly mangled
and the mother seriously injured. An
other case for injuries to the mother is
pending in the Superior couit. The
railroad company insisted that the
plaintiffs were tiespasseis, in attempt
ing to eioss where they did, because
they were discharged passengeis when
they weie landed on the platform on
the east side of the tracks.
Lyman ":. Miner, of Ealonville, was
seaeioly and dnngeiouslv injured on
Mondnv while driving down Lane Hill,
near this town. Ills horses took
fright at something, nod Mr. Miner
was thro a 11 fiom the wagon. He be
came entangled in tlie wheel, and It
was some time befoie he could be
extricated. He ias unconscious for a
long time. He is now much improved
and will recover
