Women are vastly more patient than
men. It is scarcely believable that a
woman, suffering past all telling, cau
attend to business, and bend and stoop
with a back whoe ache is agony. And
lc,oiid all this she smiles as she bends
anil stoops about her customer. A man
might swallow down an oath or keep
back a sroan, but his face would be like
a thundercloud, and his voice scarcely
disguise his irritation.
I'or women who suffer from backache,
bearing-down pains, or other pains due to
womanly diseases, there is no other med
icine equal to Dr. Tierce's Favorite Pre

functions, dries weakening drains, heals
inflammation and ulceration and cures
female weakness.
There is no alcohol in " Favorite Tre

Nerve Slavery.
It is present-day conditions heaping
buidens of work upon the nervous system
that tells the story premature breaking up
of health.
It tells why so many men and women,
who so far as age in years is concerned,
should be In the prime of health, find them
selves letting go ol the strength, the power,
the vitality they once possessed. It is be
cause that great motor power of the body,
nerve force, is impaired, Lvery organ de
pends upon its controlling power just at
much as the engine depends upon the steam
to put It into action. An engine won't go
without steam. Neither will the heart, the
brain, the liver, the kidneys, the stomach
act right without their proper nerve force
supply. Let any organ be lacking in this
essential and troubles begin some of them
are:
Throbbing, palpitating heart.
Sleepless nights.
Sudden startings.
Morning languor. .
Brain fag.
Inability to work or think.
Exhaustion on exertion,
Flagging appetite.

Food heavy.
Easily excited, nervous, irritable.
Strength fails.
Loss ot flesh and muscular power. s
