On account of raising the grade of approach to Prompton River bridge, between Lincoln Pane and Mountain View, the tlrst crossover west of the bridge was spiked on Sunday, and will be out of service until fuithor notice. A new Inetrlocklng plant controlling the movement of switches at tho east end of Port Morris yard will be put in service, to become effective at 12 o'clock noon, Thursday, November 15, 1900. Distant signals will not at piesent be provided for this interlocking plant. Oxford Breaker Is Heady. Tho new Oxford breaker is now ready for buslness.and everything Is ready for running tho coal through the chutes. The People's Coal company, who will operate the mines, contemplate lining the pockets in the breaker with coal before making any shipments. With that end In view only a few men are at present employed, but In a few days It is expected emjilnyment will bo furnished for several hundred men and boys. When their coal is ready for shipment the Delawaie, Lackawanna and Western company will furnish the necessary cars and handle the output. Well-Merited Promotion. J.
