It seems that the owners of the land on which the railroad will be run ob ject to the branch anil applied for nn Injunction In the courts of Susquehan na county, which was refused by tho presiding judge. To vent their spite on the company and contractors the opposition forces destroyed the pile driver and cut up several hundred feet of rope Into use less pieces and otherwise damaged property belonging to Burke Brothers. Since he has been identified with the Lackawanna road Mr. Helgert has proven a capable, con scientious nnd trustworthy employe, and It Is with regret Hint Superintend ent Hussell parts with such a valued attache of his office. Although Mr. Helgeit is a comparative stranger, nevertheless he has made many friends, pattlcularly among the news paper men, who have always received courteous treatment at his hands.
