Mrs, Joseph Rodney died suddenly
yesterday morning at tho home of het
sister, Mrs. Arthur Reynolds, near the
tunnel, of quick consumption. She went
to tho homo of her sister Thursday
evening to spend tho night, and was
taken suddenly worse during the night,
and gradually sank till she died. Mrs.

Very notable net gains are shown by a number
of the spcilaltlcs and irdustriais, while the rail
roads generally are from a fraction to oer two
points higher, Sugar and Tobacco were both
sold down sharply, but they met support of a
character which has been lacking for several
dij a past. An unwieldlv short interest has been
formed and prices, ci-pecijlly in Tobacco In
the course of its recent severe decline and when
the stock began to move upwards the demand
from the bears became precipitate. The ac

be reflected in this weilc's loan account of Iho
Innks, but the continued ease of monev did not
