school oonti oiler and common council
r-wtie elected without opposition, and
the suppoitcis of A. P.. Rvniin and
W. V. Griffiths weie jubilant In um

was enlivened by a gr.iphaphono, which
was furnished by Minor H. Woiden.
The contest for scdoot council in the
Fifth ward was fought In a filendly

also much interested in the buttle.
In all of the dlstilcts Ihe vote was

without much tumble.
In the Sixth and Rlghteeuth w.uds
but little Inteiest was manifested by
the Republlians and in i onsequenc"
the Deiuoi tittle candidates met with
but little opposition. One would bald
ly know theie was an election but for
the fact that a few men weie occi

in the Fouiteenth ward, where School
Controller Thomas J. Jennings and
Councilman Weiuol weie ic-elected.
RHD HOT FIGHT.
In both dlstilcts of the Fifteenth
ward theie was the liveliest kind of a

Rffoits weie made to coerce the voteis

voteis suppoited Mr. Oliver, who
stands for clean politics and the best
Intoiests of his constituents. The
vote In the Twenty-first ward was light
and but little inteiest vvab manifested
in tho election.
