O'Mallcy. the city committeeman for the ward, called the meeting to order and was elected permanent chairman of the caucus P. J. Coyne was made secretary. STRUCK BY A TRAIN TJllls Daley, a young man employed at the Axle works, had a narrow es cape from Instant death on Tuesday, while walking on the Delaware and Hudson tracks. He started from the Axle works to see a friend who Is em ployed at the culm washery nearby, and while walking along the tracks n passenger ttaln came along. Young Daley stepped aside to let the train pass and In so doing got direct ly In front of a moving coal train on another Hack, which struck him. When picked up by the tialn hands ho was unconscious, but still alive. The unfortunate man was removed to his home at 1326 Pittston avenue, where Dr. L. S. Harnes examined him and found his skull fractured. The doctor has hopes of Daley's complete recovery If no complications set In. CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL.
