Vaughn, associate Judges of the court of com mon pleas of Wyoming county, held a session of court today for tho purpose of computing the election returns with J. Wood Piatt and H. S. Harding act ing as clerks. The official figures show but little change from tho result as announced yesterday. Harnett carries the county by a small majority, while the majorities of Urown and Mitchell run up to about .00. The Democrats elect sheriff, prothonotary, two commissioners nnd one auditor, while tho Republicans get tho register and recorder, one commissioner and two auditors. Moyer, Republican can didate for commissioner, was defeated by Vaughn. Democrat, by ten votes. L. L. Travis. Democrat, for auditor, was defeated. Pa., Nov. 9. For some time there has been a bitter feud In the Sillier and L:t Bar families, of Middle Smlthlleld, this county. It was througn the recent marriage of Moses a Bar, a son of Philip LaBar, who married Mies Annie Miller, a daughter of Hiram Miller. It was only a few hours after the wedding ceremony was performed when young La Bar was taken from his wife's side and placed In the county Jail on a charge of larceny. When tho newly married couple left .he parental roof It Is alleged that La Bar took therefrom two blankets, a iot of beans, n quantity of bed cloth ing, two wagon wheels nnd other arti cles. The constable who made the arrest was named Miller and three other Millers, two sons and tho wife of one of the latter, were present as wit nesses for La Bar at the hearing be fore Justice Hutchinson. In default of $100 ball La Bar was locked up. Lewis Miller offered to become surety for La Bar. but "HI" Miller, the brother of the bride, would not accept him. The father also threatens to prosecuh; La Bar for stealing his daughter, who he says Is a minor. GEORGE BRITENBAKER DEAD. Well Known Resident of Honesdale Called to Ro3t. Special to tho Scrnnton Tribune. Honesdale, Nov. 9. Mr. George Brlt cnbaker died from a paralytic stroke at tho residence of his son, Adam Brltenbaker, on Spring street, at 7 'clock this morning. He was born in Strossburg, Germany. November. 1809; came to America 1S27; learned the trade of baker In New York city. From there he went to Kingston, N. Y., married In 1837 and moved to Honesdale In 1842, where he engaged in the bakery business and later he did a large uiislness In the manufact ure of crackers. He was a charter member of the German Lutheran church and one of Its leading finan cial supporters In Its early history. He raised a family of thirteen chil dren. Messrs. Fred and Adam nnd .Mrs. Hannah Dorin, of Honesdale, nnd Mrs. Carrie Heller and Mrs. Lizzie Hubbard, of Klniira, still survive him. Funeral at 3 p. m. Strnudsbuig. Nov. 9. Miss Minnie Yetter, a well known society lady of Last htroudsburg, and daughter of Hank President Milton Yetter, was run down by George Stocker, nn East on bicyclist, and her left leg was bioken. Miss. Yetter stepped from a car in front of a hotel. She was struck with great force by the rider, who was rapidly coming down the street. The young lady was carried to the house of ex-Collector C. H. Staples. It was found that tho left limb uas fiuetured below the knee, the left ankle Joint dislocated and Ihe lig aments wrenched and torn. INEXPENSIVE CAMPAIGN. Special to the Scranton Tribune. Stroudsfuirg, Nov. 9. Train due In East Stroudsburg on the Delaware, Lackawanna railroad at 9:24 n. m. run down and killed an unknown man near Spragucvllle. The man was walking down the track nnd was this end of the high bridge when No. 172 thundered along. The engine struck the man in the back and hurled him against tho rocky side of a cut. Instead of stop ping to look after tho man as the rule requires the train came on to Sprague vllle and notified th"? employes there of the accident. Tho remains wero brought to the station at that placo and put in tho freight house. The unfortunate was probably 43 years old weigiung about IfO pounds nnd be tween five feet and eight Inches tall.
