The November letter of the Anthra

been uigint demands for Immediate chlp

encountered In both of these particulars.
At tho mines there have been un Insuf

Prices hao ruled fairly strong and

Increase of Coal Tonnnrre.
The coal tonnage of the Erie i all
way will bo Increased materially from
now on by tho return of the mlneis to
work on the bituminous properties con
trolled by the company In the Woss
burg district, south of Elmlra.
During the last three months tho
Hiie railway has. not only been com
pelled to buy Its "service" coal from
other producers, but has likewis-e not
received the usual tonnage of Its own
bituminous production. The dally out
put of the Elofsburg mines Is 1,500 tons,
most of which Is used by the Etle rail
a ay In Its own locomotives.
The Iteynoldsville mines produce D.000
ions dally, upon which an average of
It per ton Is obtained by the Erie mil
ivay for transportation.

Most stores want you to know that they manufacture their own Cloaks and Suits,
We want you to know that we do not. The secret of oursuccess has been large
ly in our freedom to choose each kind of a garment from the very best maker of
that particular garment. For instance: We recently advertised a certain garment
in three grades. Each of these grades was made by a different house, and
each kind was much better than it could have been if any one house had made
them all. It's the close competition of all the best houses for your trade that
keeps tbe standard at our store so remarkably high.
styles in IFuurjB
We are not novices in the fur business. Our experience in furs dates back many
years. Our styles for this season are extremely handsome and were selected with
great care. Fur Jackets are shorter and jauntier in styles. The favorite shapes
are cut from a Revilliou Model short and curved at hips, and sloping in front.
In Fur Neckwear the styles are very attractive. For Tailor-Made Suits, Neck
Scarfs and Collarettes come in many combinations. Collarettes have high-rolling
collars, warm either up or down.
