John H. Hogart, who has been gen
eral yurdmaster of the Delaware,
Lackawanna and Western company
for many years, has asked to be re
lieved of the responsibility, owing to
failing health, and will be succeeded
by J. H. Huhl, who wns appointed on
Saturday.
Mr. Hogart will not sever his con
nection with the company, however,
nnd as soon as he Is aide will assume
a position as passenger conductor.

been obliged to take extraordinary

the "scalpers," or ticket brokers, and

be prosecuted In the United States
courts. Heretofore prosecutions ot this
kind, have been In state courts, whero
