Colonel Philip J. Vetter was tendered a reception last evening In Music hall by the various lodges of Odd Fellows In the city. The audlto'rllim was liter ally packed with people when Rev. R. F. V. 'Pierce, pastor of the Penn Ave nue Baptist church, opened the exer els 'a with prayer. Mr. Votter was seated In the centre of the stafre, surrounded by the vari ous members of the commlttou In charge. Mayor Molr also occupied a scat on the stage. Colonel George W. Sklllhorn acted as chairman of tlv evening. The Green Ridge quartette rendered n selection, after which Mayor Molr de livered the address of welcome. Ho paid a high tribute to the Indomitable will, courage and heroism displayed by Mr. Vetter, and extended a hearty wel come on behalf of the Odd Fellows of the city. The mayor was followed by John Uvans, who sang "Asthore" with 'H sweet tenor voice. Past Grand Charles Giver, of Globe lodge, of which Mr. Vetter is a member, then delivered an address, after which the Schubert Glee club sang a part song. .Past Grand Harry Reynolds, of Rob ert Rums lodge, then spoke hrletly. Arrangements for Interment nnd Officers of tho Mass. Nearly nil arrangements have been made for the funeral of the late Rev. John Loughran, of Mlnooka, tomorrow morning. Tills afternoon at 1.30 o'clock tho remains will be vested and borne from his late homo to St. Joseph's church and placed on a catafalque, which has been erected In tho center of tho church. Members of thu several male societies of the congregation will act as a suard of honor during the day and night. . Tho services Incident to the funeral will be commenced at 9.30 o'clock to morrow morning, when the priests will recite the divine ofllce. The olllcers of the solemn high mass of requiem will be: Rev. P. A. Garvey. of St. Charles seminary, Philadelphia, celebrant; Rev. John Loughran, of the cathedral, deacon; Rev. P. A. li-rod-erlck, of Susquehann, sub-deacon; Rev. T. F. Old Forge Injunction Is Practically Revoked Cases Heard in Com- man Pleas Court. Judge Gunster yesterday granted tha petition of the Scranton and Plttstou Railway company presented by Ma jor Everett Warren for a modification of the' Injunction restraining tho com pany from operating in Old Forge, The Judge sustains tho contention that tho second ordinance is untainted and that It accords the company the desired franchise. In the case of Roplogle astilnst Carey and others the Jury yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock rendered a ver dict for the defendants. The plain tiff alleged that lie overpaid the Careys $150 on a loan transaction. The jury couldn't believe it. Tho suit of Edmunds against Mack was tried before Judge Edwards yes terday, it Is a case of mother against daughter. Mrs. Edmunds alleges that she loaned her daughter 300 to pay for a liquor license In 1893 and ISO!. This the daughter emphatically denies. The jury was out at adjournment. A. D. Robinson was on trial before Judge Archbald yesterday on charges of malicious prosecution and false im prisonment preferred by one Gros venor, who demands $2,000 damages. He was arrested in 1S97 for stealing milk bottles on complaint of Robinson and was tried and acquitted. A verdict of $22S In favor of the plain tiff was rendered yesterday in the case of the Mica Roofing company against Dunn Brothers.
