THE SCHOOL BOARD.
Instead of ltleklnK em tlio school tux
thi' taxpayers ot this district should
Hhow their appreciation of the econo
mical way In which the hoard of con
trol is maiWKlng Its affairs. 1-nst year
evlth a reduced state appropi J"tlon
and a smaller tax duplicate, the hoard
has by judicious work saved nearly
$;:,000, besides providing more school-
than ever. This money Is In the
hank and will he used for bond redemp
tion. The recent bond issue originated
by Treasurer Dlmock and successfully
carried through by the board brought

six per cent on $l!),2fl0 it Is paying lit
tie more than three and one-quarter.

guished Itself by able financiering.
