PEPOnE ALDBIIMAN JOHN. David Evans, of "Washburn street, was arrested yesterday at the Instance of his neighbor, Alfred Dowse, charged with assault and battery. The arrest grew out of a family quarrel. At the hearing before Alderman John. Evans was held in $200 ball for bis appearance at court. William Jones qualified as bondsman. Constable Timothy Jones made the arrest, and In searching Evans in the alderman's office, found a blackjack In his pocket. A warrant was sworn out on the charge of carrying concealed weapons, and $200 bail was furnished on that charge. CANNOT FIND THE PODT. Warrant Out for John Kissling Charged with Assault and Battery John Cavanaugh Discharged. Mr. Charles Peck, of Meadow ave nue, appeared before Alderman Lcntcs yesterday morning nnd swore out a warrant for John Kissling. charging him with aggravated assault and bat tery on the person of his wife. It seems that Kissling had been keeping company with Beck's daughter for some time past, contrary to the wishes of Mr. and Mrs. Peck. Sunday evening Kissling appeared at tho home of his tlnncee In a drunken c mention and asked her to accompany him for a short walk. To this Miss Peck's father objected and ordered Kissling off of tho premises. In dustrious and honorable, he built for himself a reputation which will live with ills memory. During his Illness he was very patient and when death came to relievo him a noble life had closed.
