Pays the Tenalty of His Crime.
Story of the Cold-Blooded Murder
of Mrs. Emma Kaiser
Norrlstown, Pa , May 18 James A.
Clemmer was hanged this morning in
tile Montgomeiy county Jail heie for
the murder of Mrs. Emma. Kaiser. The
ttap was sprung by Sheriff Light at
10 fit! o'clock, and iCIeinmer was pro
nounced dead nt 10.24. Ho went to his
denth biavely, and made no statement
on the gallows. None of his relatives
weie present.
The condemned man was escorted to
the gallows by Fathers Gallagher and
Shannon of St Patrick's Itoman Catho
lic chuich, Norrlstown, and Father
Hatinetjnii of the Chinch of the As
sumption, Philadelphia, lSefore leaving
his c"U foi the march to the gallows,
Clemmer received the saci anient of the
Holv Eucharist and professed to havo
made his peace with Ood.

his trial, a new white shirt, high collar
