School of the Lackawanna will meet nt
tho Athletic park this afternoon at 3.30
for their first game of the season. Roth
teams have been working hnrd during
tho pnst week, and are ready for this
afternoon's battle. The gamo will bo
called at 3 30 sharp. Captain Tropp's
men will doubtless line up as follows:
Either Phillips or Moser will go behind
the bat. Shultz, Hatrington and Cap
tain Tropp will ench have three Innings
in tho box. Bradbury or Horn will lp
at first. Mason will take caie of tho
sack on second; Rose will look after
tho Interest of third, while Corbott Is
certain for center field. McHugh will
go In left field, and either Gohcy or
Van Gordon will go In light field. Cor
bett is In excellent condition. Har
rington Is expected to give a good ac
count of himself in tho bo.
The Lackawanna team as selected on
Saturday will line up as follows:
Cooney. catcher; Walsh, pitcher; Mo

"Scvengnlla," tho hypnotist, will, nt
noon today, perform his marvelous
blindfold drive through tho streets of
this city In sentch of an article to be
hidden by a local committee, consist
ing of newspnper men and others. Bev
ongnlla will appear at tho Academy of
Music Monday, Tuesday and Wednes
day evenings, with matinees Tuesday
and Wednesday. The Wllkes-Barre
Times says: "Sevengalla, who has
mode n study of hypnotism, created
great excitement In Plttston today. A
committee consisting of Alderman Lot
tus, William Devaney, W. P. Staley,
Thomns Corcoran nnd Charles Coward
was appointed and they spent forty
live minutes In hiding a key. They
then returned to Music hall, where
Kovengalla was left blindfolded. Ho
was led to the carriage and mounting
the box, he took the reins and nt a
brrnkneck pace rode over the same
route and flnnlly found the key hidden
In a clock In a grocery store located
In a submb of Plttston. The streets
were lined with people all along the
route of the drive. It took the com
mittee foity-five minutes to hide the

The attraction at the Gaiety theater
commencing Monday matinee, Is ono
