Henry Miller as "Hamlet."'
The appearance of Mr. Henry Miller
at the Lyceum. April 2G In Shake
speare's "Hamlet" Is the fulfllllmcnt
of a long existing desire upon the part
of that actor to tiy his poweis In
what will alwuys be considered tho
most worthy labois of tho drumatlo
art Shakespeare. To an actor who
has won such regard from the pub
lic In the virile, youthful, romantln
roles of th("tage today as has Mr Mil
ler, the character of "Hamlet" has
great attractions, and but little apol
ogy need be made for his undertaking
It. In fuct, the rola finds many coun
terparts In that of Eric Temple, In
"Heartsease," In which Mr. Miller has
given us to pleasing an entertainment.
Of course, ns to meilt, there Is no
comparison between -ue plays. But
Hrlo Temple was noble and manly un
der great affliction, quiet nnd Intro
spective while analyzing his position
and strong In action when roused by
the proof of his suspicion All these
phrases of temperament aie also
prominent In "Hamlet.' and both
charcters are In the llrst flush of man
hood. It win be lntoiestlng to note
how far Mr. filler will make them
acceptable of value In tho latter char
acter. An elaborate scenic produc
tion Is promised.

of winter wheat. Moreover, thero was a
de'lro to seo what the money mnrkut de

largely confined to tho board rom traders.
Tho market closed strong. Total sales,
