Mr. James Arthur, the Philadelphia builder, was in town last week making arrangements to build ioo of the 391 houses which he has con tracted to construct at New Orange. He says he expects to rush matters from now on owing to the great demand for houses at New Orange, because of the rapid approach to completion of the New Orange silk mills and the emigration to New Orange in the near future of several hundred souls. Mr. Arthur is anxious to get his buildings completed in time to satisfy all new comers. He is buying lumber by the train load and nails by the carload, and soon one will be scarcely able to discern the old familiar landmarks in New Orange because ot changes made by the completion of new buildings. Mr. George W. Weiland, of Priceburg, Pa., is building six new houses at New Orange, N. J. Dr. Wheaton, of Scranton, Pa., has commenced work on his two houses. Mr. C. D.
