It was afterward sold to the Prio by the
engineers for ,9,000, much less than Its
leal value. It Is one of the very best
locomotives on tho road, and It will

affected the quoted prices of stocks.

did prices of the higher valued rail
road stocks teach yesterday's closing
figures. Heavy oales In tho early deal
ings were caused partly by tho lower
lange of London quotations nnd thre
were numerous declines exceeding a
point. A sharp upward movement fol
lowed. The trading element began to
bell freely ns the effect of heavy profit
taking was appreciated, Tho maikot
at first became dull, as prices receded,
but the selling gradually assumed larg
er volume- and quotations gradually
tumbled away, eventually weakening
practically, all stock traded In. In the
absence of unfavorable now, thu re
action was attributed to technlcul con
ditions. Hy reaching stop loss orders
