while the total of our exports to Cuba

Regarding Hematite for Dyapepsln
nnd Indigestion.
Tile national disease of Americans Is
Indigestion or In ltn chronic form, dy
spepsia, and for the. very reason that It
Is so common many people) neglect tak
ing proper treatment for what they
consider trifling stomach trouble, when
as a matter of fact, Indigestion lays
the foundation for many Incurable di
seases. No person with n vigorous,
healthy stomach will fall a victim to
consumption. Many kidney diseases
and heart troubles date their beginning
from poor ingestion; thin, nervous peo
ple are really so because their stom
achs arc out of gear; weary, languid,
faded out women owe their condition
to Imperfect digestion.
When nearly every person you meet
Is allllcted with wealc digestion It Is
not surprising that nenrly every secret
patent medicine on the market claims
to bo a cure for dyspepsia,, us well as a
score of other troubles, when In fact,
as Dr. Worthier says, there Is but one
genuine dyspepsia cure which Is per
fectly safe and reliable, and moreov
er, this remedy Is not a patent medi
cine, but is ti scientific combltntlon of
pure pepsin, (free front nnlmal matter),
vegetable essences, fruit salts and bis
muth. It Is sold by druggists under
the name of Stuarfs Dyspesla Tablets.
No extravagant claims are made for
them, but for Indigestion or any stom
ach trouble. Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets
ate far ahead of any remedy yet dis
covered. They act on the food eaten,
no dieting is necessary, simply tut all
the wholesome food you want and
these tablets will digest It. A cute re
sults, because all the stomuch needs is
a rest, which Stuart's Dyspepsia Tab
lets give by doing the work of diges

Hopper and His New Opera.
A recent Sunday issue of the Haiti
more Herald had some very flattering
things to say of "the indisputable re
gent of comic opera, UeWolf Hopper,"
who Is now presenting what Is said to
be Sousa's most brilliant composition,
"The Charlatan." and which will bo
seen at the Lyceum Monday night. The
Herald said that "In 'The Charlatan'
Sousa Is at his best, Klein y at his
best, and Hopper Is at his best." The
Herald also alllrms that "The Char
latan" Is the most tuneful of Sousa's
compositions; the most brilliant of
Klein's conceits, nnd the most positive
of all of Hopper's successes. This H
the dictum of all the critics who have
seen the new work on the road. The
costuming and wonery of "The Char
latan" are said to bo the handsomest
ever seen In comic opera in this coun
try. "Kip Van Winkle."
Mr. Jefferson tells a most Iuioihsi
ing story how lie came to wrii nut
the play of Rip and Its one great char
actor. It was a dull, dismal day In
the mountains. Jefferson took the
"Letters of Irving" up In the hay-loft
to have a long, Ulet afternoon, lie
was amazed to find In the book a ref
erence to himself. Mr. Irving com
mented or. the young actor's resem
blunco to his father. This reminded
Mr. Jffierson that bis father had once
tried a production of one of .Mr. Irv
ing's stories "Itip Van Winkle" aid
that It was a failure. He Jumped down
fnm the hay, went over to the house
and got the Sketch Hook from the set
and. taking It back to the barn read
the story. This story will be told at
the Academy of Music next Monday
n'cht by the New York Stock com
pany. Next Week at Gaiety.
