the parish. The Spooner Dramatic
company sent to Mr. Israel a large and
especially acceptable donation for the

Firemen's Relief association, among

dent; John Moir, of Nay Aug com

company, for treasuier: vice Chailes

trustee, whose tcun has expired, Peter
Robllng, Jr., was nominated to serve
three years.

Mr. Hall, of Franklin company, Piesl
dent Hlckey stated that Scianton's
portion of the 1SD7 state fund had been
received by tho city treasurer. It
amounts to about $2, TOO and will make
a total of about $4,:0o In the associa
tion's trcastuy.
AUDITING COMMITTEE.
In conformity with Article xli of the
by-laws President Hlckey appointed
three members to examine the ac
counts of the treasurer, secictary ami
trustees nnd report thereon at the
stated meeting In December. On this
committee wero appointed John W.
Moir, of Nay Aug company; Hairy
May, of Hook and Ladder company,
and Peter Robllng, Jr, of Neptune
company. A motion prevailed to ad
journ to meet AVednesday night, Nov
SO tor the puipose of receiving in wilt
ing pioposed amendments to the by
laws, the same to be voted upon at the
next stated meeting, in Decembei.
One of the amendments to be proposed
Is aimed to oblige the Jeleg.ites to
keep up a. constant interest In tho as

other representative of their itspect
ive companies. The amendment if
adopted will piobably piovlde that If

cussing how the association could help

cided on later. President Hlckey ap
