A committee of which Colonel Guffey is chairman was appointed to draft a platfotm to be submitted at a subsequent meeting of the executive committee. A meeting of the state committee was held tonight to select the stand ing committee of the convention. After this had been done, Thomas J Ryan, of Philadelphia, piesented a statement asking that the Philadelphia contest decided by the state committee at its annual meetings in Harrlsburg on .vpru -u last, De reopened A resolu tion to this effect was adopted by a vote of 3S to 111 The contest was then relened to the executive committee, which Is controlled by the antl-Gor-donltes.
