The business meeting of the conven
tion was called to older at 111 o'clock
by the piesldeiit, Hon C. S Russell
After the usual legular business, the
lepoit nf the committee on ofllci.il le

Yager. The committee commended the.
exhaustive lepoits and lecomiuendu-
tlons of the secietaiy and ticasuier,
nnd noted the i eduction of the de
ficit of mote than $100 They leconi
mended that the Slvanla and Easton
churches be omitted ftom the list of
p.itlshcs and that these piopertlcs be
deeded ti the ionentlon for safe keep
ing They lecommended especially that
the "icnt-a-day-plan" be adopted by
all the chutche.s In tlie state as a
means of deilvlng the gieatesi amount
nf ieenue with the least amount of
hardship upon the pailshes.
The committee lecommended moie
fully the needs of the Sunday school
and suggested that a committee of
thiec be appointed by ihe president,
nnd occupy at least an hour In the In
tel ests of the same at the convention
next year.
They uiged upon the convention the
need of moie demonlnational literature
and of the subscriptions to denomina
tional papers, especially the "Chilstlan
Leader."
The need of having a state supeiln
tendent was pointed out and It was

such an agent when funds hae been
appropriated for that putpejse.
The repoit of the committee was ac
cepted unanimously aftei some de
bate, and adjournment was taken un
til afternoon.
