The death of James Dougherty, one
of the most respected tesldents of
Avocn. 01 curied yesteiday morning af
ter 11 lingering illness, mused by blood
poisoning. Deceased was about JO
years of age, and has been a iesldent
of Avoca neatly all his life time. Al
though of a retiring disposition he had
many friends nnd was very attentive
to his lellgion and his family. .He
