mill nt tho Gambo powder mills In
Windham, sixteen miles north of this
city, blew up today, causing the death
of Walter MaNfteld and Prank Duptlll.
Tho powder mill was not In operation
at the time, but men were at wot It
making lepalrs near tho wheel mill.
It Is supposed that the explosion re
sulted fiom n. blow stmck by one of
tho woikmen. The plant was owned
and opoiated by tho Oilentnl Powder
lompany. The financial loss Is not
heavy.
