The moving plctmes were realistic to a remarkable degree, and the instru mental and vocal selections of tho pho nograph were greatly enjoyed. One of the leadlnir features of tho entertainment was tho violin solos ot Trof. F. Vandeweken, late of Brussels, accompanied by Miss Carr, of Scran ton. Ill selections were mastei pieces nnd exquisitely rendered, notably "Lenola," a polanalse, nnd "Move's Diiam," A neat sum wa realized which will be devoted to liquidating th'e debt of the church, and we understand Pi of. P'arce hi been requested to re peat his delightful entertainment at an early date. FUNERAL OF ETHEIi JONES. The funeral services of Ethel, the young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. D. Jones, were held yesterday after noon at the parental residence, 1903 Jackson stteet. There was a large at tendance of friends and relatives of tho family. Ilev. Thomas Do Oruchy, pastor of tho Jackson Street Baptist church, officiated, and the Moral offer ings were ery beautiful. At the con clulon of tho services the remain were borne to the Washburn street cemetery and Interred. The pallbear ers were: Frank Jones, Weley Jones, Iteese Evans and Lewis Davis. YOUNG PEOPLE'S RALLY. Friday, Feb. 11, a grand tally of the Baptist Young People's unions of Northeastern Pennsylvania, will be hold at tho First Welsh Baptist church, on South Main avenue. The union will represent different towns In tho Wyoming, Lackawanna and Schuylkill valleys. The rally Is to bo an elaborate affair and Prof. James R. Hughes, president of the general committee, Is busily engaged In preparing for tho an air. The case concerns "George Solomon" and his wife, "Ethel Solo mon," for such arc the names given on the certificate of the death of their child, furnished the Blakely board of health and made out by Dr. J. W. Beck, of Blakely. Coroner Longstreet. accompanied by County Detective Thomas E. Leyshon. went to Blakely last night nnd ordered Undertaker Swallow, who lnteried the remains of the child, to exhume tho body. Tonight the autopsy to discover whether the child was still-born or was thrown Into a cesspool by some one after Its birth, ns Is rumored, will be held In Blakely. Mrs. Mary Jones, of West Scranton appeared before Alderman Millar yes terday nnd secured a warrant for tho arrest of Oeorge Fletcher, by whom Mrs. Jones was employed as housekeep er. She showed a scar on her neck which she said is the mark left by a razor in the hands of Fletcher. She wanted him arrested for assault and battery. Fletcher was taken be fore the alderman in the afternoon and given a hearing. He gave ball la th3 sum of $300 to appear at court.
