COMMON PLEAS COURT.
Trying to Fi the Ownership of the
Goods of A. V. Jurtscli Hartley
Hull Suit Slill on Trial.
The ownership of tho stock of A. W.
Jiltlsch's sporting goods store in the
Hotel Jeimyn building wns the only
question lntmduced in common pleas
yesteulay. Mi.s. Ellon May Cokely and
H. Lillian Jiirlsch, slsteis of the store
keeper, and the Steillng Cycle com
pany, of Chicago, the principal ci ed
itor, are the rival claimants.
In tho fall of ISDfi, the Cycle com
pany issued an execution against Jur
Isch and dlieeted the sheriff to sell the
stock of the stoic. Mrs. Cokely nnd
Mtss Jurlsch ai tested the sale, alleg
ing that they and not their biotht-i
weio the owneis of the store-. Court
trained a suit with the Cycle com
pany as defendant and directed the
pal ties to maintain or relinquish their
respective claims.
The plajntlfls nllcge that tho broth
er bonowed $9,000 from them In 1VJ4
when he started in business. Duting
the summer of 1S0G he came to them
and saying he felt he was about to
fail udvi.sid them to take steps to
piotect their Inteiests. This they at
once did bv selling him out nt con
stable's sale Thev bought In the stock
themselves and placed their brother In
chaigo as manager.
The Cvclt company claims that the
constable's sale was not bona fide; that
It was conducted In a seciet manner,
nnd that Its onlv purpose, was to de
feat the just tioditois As evidence
of this Hairy Conly, teporter for Dun's
Mercantile Agency, was put on the
stand to show that Juilsch, on June
9, 1S0G, made a statement of his finan
cial standing, and that he did not
then say anything about owing money
to hla sisters
The ease occupied nearly the vholo
day, and was still on at adjournment.
It was tiled once befoie but the juiy
could not come to an agi cement.
The Ilnttley-Hull ejectment suit,
now undergoing its sixth tilal, will
probably be finished today. Neatly all
of jesterday was occupied by the plain
tiff's attorneys endeavoring to get In
on icbuttal evidence to show that tho
tiansfer fiom M. J. Robinson to Silas
Hnitley was made in good faith and
not to protect the piopeily in ques
tion against the Robinson's judgment
note now In possession of the defend
ants. Judge MeCIuie tilled that this testi
mony should have been ofl'eied on di
rect examination but notwithstanding
this, ex-Judge- Jo-sup, the plaintiff's
nttorne, called all his witnesses, one
nfter the other, and had lecord made
of theli testimony being lofused. This
would Indicate that the supreme court
w ill have another go at this much
tried case.
In tho case of Dr. W. A. McDowell
against William P Joyce- the jury yes
teiday morning found in favor of the
plaintiff.

SIMPLICITY ITSELF.
A SIMPLE HARMLESS REMEDY.
Vet It Cures tho Worst Cnsos ol Dys
pepsia and lndigostlon.
Dr. Jennlson, who has made a life
study ot stomach troubles, says: All
foims of Indigestion leally amount to
the same thing, that Is, failure to com
pletely digest tho food eaten; no mat
ter whether tho trouble- Is ncld dys
pepsia or sour stomach, belching of
wind, nervous dyspepsia or loss ot flesh
and nppctlto; a person will not have
any of them If tho stomach can bo In
duced by any natural, harmless way,
to thoroughly digest what Is eaten, and
this can be done by a simple remedy
which I have tested In hundreds ot
aggtavated caes with complete suc
cess. The remedy Is a combination of
fruit nnd vegetable essence, pure as
ceptlc pepsin and golden seal put up
In the form of pleasant -tasting tablets
and sold by dtugglsts under the name
of Stuart's Dyspepsia Tublets. Ono or
two of these tablets should be taken
after meals and nllowed to dissolve in
the mouth and mingling with the food
In tho stomach, digests It completely
befoto It has time to ferment, decay
and sour.
On actual experiment one- grain ot
Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets will digest
three thousand grains of meat, eggs
anil similar wholesome foods
It Is safe to say, if this wholesome
lemedy was better known, by peoplo
generally, It would boa national bless
ing, ns wo are a nation of dyspeptics,
J and nine-tenths of all diseases owe
their otlgln to Impel feet digestion and
nutrition.
Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets nrc not
a seciet patent medicine, but a fifty
cent package will do more real good
for a weak stomach than fifty dollars
worth of patent medicines and a per
son has the satisfaction of knowing
Just what he Is putting Into his stom
ach, which ho does not know, when
widely advettlse-d patent medicines arc
used.

Never in the history of Scranton has
a sale been more bona fide as tlie clos

the Chicago Combination Clothing Co.,
211 Washington avenue, directly oppo
site the Couit House. The downfall
of these concerns means much to the
people of Scranton and sunoundlng
tow ns. The .stock must be sold to
make a final settlement with all con
cerned as quickly as possible.
That this concern is strictly living
up to advertisements Is evident by
the tremendous crowds. Never In
Scianton's history has a sale been so
bona fide, but you must get there and
not delay befnie some- of this stock
will be sold. Remember the place. Chi- I
