The case seemed Quito serious but under tho care of Drs. Kelly and Gillls, ho is now doing well. WATER IN A MINE. When the miners of No. 1 slono en tered the mine on Snturduy morning they found a torr?nt ot water sweeping with great force down the main gang way. The inn in road was choked and impassable. It appears that tho men had been working, near nn old cave that was filled with water. The wall of coal had given way so that the wat er rushed In. The accident fortunate ly occurred In the night so that there were no Injuries to tho miners. A large force of men are at work Rotting the mine again In a good condition. TAYLOU. It had been stated that a syndicate had purchased from Peter Krantz & Sons the Carbondale brewery.
