funeral of Mrs. Luclnla Bow en, one of
the oldest lesldents of Blakely boiough,
and doubtless the one w ho spent more
yeais In Blakely township than anyone

biother, the late Stephen Callendei,
esq , bv neai ly a yeat and a half. She
was the last lepresentatlNe In this vic
inity of the second generation of the
descendants of Samuel Callender, of
Rovolutlonniy fame, in honor of whom

In 18S1, thiough the effoits of Rev.
Nathan Callender, himself a giandson
of the old soldlei. At thnt time there
