The house today, under the terms of

upon the discussion of the Pacific Rail
ioad funding bLU. All. Povvets, of
"eimont, chairman of the committee
and Mi. Glow, of Pennsylvania, sup
poited the measuie and Messis. Ilub
baid, of MIsouil, and noil, of Texas,
opposed It. The lattei and Mr. Hanl
son, of Alabama, presented a substitute
lor the committee measuie with the
announcement that it would be foimal
ly oifoied for consldeiatlon at the
proper time.
