ness of two weeks.
. Deceased was a young- man of much
prominence. He was connected with
the above firm for the past five years.
He had, by his kind and honest deal
ings, won a warm place In the hearts
of many friends. He leaves a wife and
two children.
Funeral aervlcea will be conducted In
the Methodist Episcopal church, at 1 p.
m. Saturday by Rev. P. R. Tower. In
terment will be made In Olen Dyberry
cemetery, Honesdale. Independent Or

Section 1. Be It ordained by the Select
and Common Councils of the City of
Scranton, and It Is hereby ordained by tht
authority of tha same, That for the pur
pose ef constructing a viaduct upon the
southerly aide of and contiguous to Weat
Lackawanna Avenue, from Seventh Street
to Ninth Street, lit the Fourteenth Ward,
and for the payment of compensation foi
property to be taken, injured or destroyei
thereby, an Increase of the City Debt, b
