Mr. Wldmayer has so far progressed with Ms work last night as to be able to state definitely that the tax levy for the comiiiK year will be thirteen and six-tenths mills, which is one mill less than last your, when the purchase of Nay Aug park had to be provided for. On this basis he estimates thnt the revenue from all sources, including taxes, UceiiHcs and fees will be $272,300. which is about $2,000 more than last year's estimated revenues, when the levy was fourteen and six-tenths mills. This results from a new revenue of $;l.000 from poll tax and $u,0OU addi tional taxes from the Increased valua tion. Tht assessors have not as yet completed their work, but they give out approximately that the assessed valua tion of tho city will amount to over $-i,-000.000. an Increase of about $00,000. Hundreds of ?ersons surTeriug rom consumption have had the pro gress of the disease stopped, and have been brought back to life and health by the "Golden Medical Discovery" of Dr. Pierce. Years ago Dr. R. V. Pierce, now chief consulting physician to the Invalids' Hotel and Surgical Institute of Buffalo, N. Y., recognizing the fact that consumption was essentially a germ disease, and that a rem edy which would drive the germs and their poisons from the blood would cure consump tion, at last found a medicine which cured 9V per rent, of all cases, if taken in the earlier stages of the disease. The tissues of the lungs being irritated bv the germs and poisons in the blood circulat ing tnrotten them, the germs hnd lodgment there, and the lungs begin to break down. boon the general health begins to fail, and the person feels languid, weak, faint, drowsy and confused. . This is the time to take Dr. Pierce's Gold en Medical Discovery; it drives the germs and poisons from the blood, and has a sooth ing effect upon the dry cough. In cases of bronchitis the Discovery" is invaluable.
