WHEN YOU FEEL LANGUID,
dull and heavy, it's your liver that's
at fault A sluggish, torpid liver de
ranges your stomach and kidneys and
bowels. It poisons your blood. You
feel it "all over."
The best known remedy in the world
s Carlsbad. People go there, not only
for a disordered liver, but for all the
diseases that follow it, and for jaun
dice and chronic liver complaint, and
every ailment of the kind.
There's no need for you to go. You
get precisely the same treatment in the
Carlsbad Sprudel Salt, the water solid
ilied at the Spring, or in the imported
waters. In catarrh of the stomach,
dyspepsia, habitual constipation, dia
betes, or any gouty or rheumatic a flec
tion, they have been a specific for bun
dreds of years. .
Take only the genuine imported ar
ticle, with the signature p( "Eisner &
Mendclson Co., Sole Agents, New York,"
and the seal of the city of Carlsbad on
every bottle. Beware of the many
worthless imitations sold here as "im
proved" or "artificial" Carlsbad Salt
which consist only of a mixture of
common Glauber Salt and Seidlitz Tow
der, and In no way have the same ac
tion as the genuine natural remedy of
Carlsbad. Insist upon the genuine.

of what Is conceded to be the finest

will amount to about $40,000 a month.
It is expected to start the plant to make

It Is given out on good authority that
the New York, Susquehanna and West
ern, of which the Wllkes-llarre and
F.astern railroad Is a part, Is prepar
ing to build (in extension from Wllkes
Harre to Orangevllle to connect with
the Wllkes-ltarre and Wewtern and at
Watsontown connection will be made
with the Central Pennsylvania anil
Western, which runs to Mlllhall, near
Itellefonte. The Susquehanna com
pany owns controlling Interest In these
roads. This would also give a direct
western outlet by way of Wllllams
port. Joseph F. Hlnnott lias confirmed the
report that he had disposed of a large
block of Heading stock. He salt) his
holdings were 44.000 shares and that
about one-half had been sold out. He
explained that the reason that prompted
tho sale was tho unsatisfactory out
look of the coal trade. He had expected
that the committee, on percentages
would have been able to accomplish
something before this and he believed
something would be done, for the con
dition of the trade was so bad as to
compel action. He did not Intend to
Bell the remaining stock.
It Is said that theheretoforeconservn
tlve policy of the Lake Shore railroad,
tinder the management of the late John
Newell, will be entirely changed under
General Caldwell, the newly appointed
president. It Is said that in the future
the policy of the road will be aggres
sive, and the passenger and freight
men of tho line will be expected to get
out and hustle for business. It In also
stated thoit there Ui a strong probability
of a new Issue of stock soon to be made
by the company. This new stock Is to
be Issued only-to present stockholders
of the road, and the income Is to be
used to pay oft the bonded Indebted
ness of the road.
Philadelphia- Stockholder: "There Is
practically no change In the situation In
so far as alfeots the efforts being made
to readjust the several companies' per
centages. Tho sub-committee has not
fully completed its tusk, but It may
have the work HUlllcieutly advanced to
submit a report at the next meeting
of the presidents, which will probably
be held the coming week. The move
ment of coal from second hands to tho
consumer, while not large, Is eald to be
entirely satisfactory to the producing
companies; and no cutting of prices
Is reported. The output, on the other
hand. Is not large. Last week's ship
ments, while S,4titt tons larger than for
the same week In 1,S!U, were somewhat
less than those the preceding week,
and brought, the dally average down to
!i(i.i;2H tons; or on a basis of 2,!J'.r,4!i!t tons
for the month. This is over a half mil
lion tons In excess of the agreed output
for January, but there Is a likelihood
that It will be cut down before the end
of the mouth, unless the companies
should feel that the market Is capable
of absorbing such a rate of produc
tion. Storks uiu steadily declining at
all points."

TO our patrons:
Washburn-Crosby Co. wish to assure their manv rat
rous that they will this ear hold to their usual custom
of milling STR1CTLV OLD W HEAT until the new crop
is fully cured. New wheat is now upon the market, and
owini- to the excessively dry weather many millers aro
of the opinion that it is already cured, and in proper
condition for milling. H ashhurn-Croshy Co. will take
no risks, and will allow the new wheat fully three
months to mature before grinding.
This careful attention to every detail of milling haa
placed Washburn-Crosby Co.'s Hour fur above other
brands.
