The opening of the Frankford branoh
of tho Reading railroad will take place
on Monday next, instead of on Sunday,
as at first intended. The train sched
ules are now being prepared fu. It.
There will be eighteen trains each way
on week days, and they will cover the
distance between the Terminal and
Franltford in twenty-seven minutes,
stopping at Spring 1 r leu street, Co
lumbia avenue, Wayne Junction and
Olney. If the volume of travel meets
the expectations it in probable that
more trains will he added and the time
reduced. Temporary ticket offioo and
and train sheds have been erected at
Main and Unity streets, Frankford.
The fares, both single and commuta
tion, will be the same as now charged
on the Pennsylvania railroad.
