Result of Inqiest on the Death cf Jjhu
Mulfavish.
An inquest was conducted at tho Lacka
wanna hospital yesterday by Coroner
Ivelley and jury on the death of John
Muifuvisu, of Priceburg. who died Thurs
day after being less than an hour in the
Hospital.
The verdict rendered was to the effect
that Mulfavish died of pltonltU, Con-bid'-rablo
interest was attached to the
case from the fuct that the deceased hav
ing bion brought to tho hospital by three
fellow country meu who made their de
pariuro before anything definite about
the sick man could be learneii.
An autopsy Was ? performed under the
direction of thn'coronor which revealed all
the organs nonn il except tho peritoneum
which was congested and inflamed. The
testimony of Dr. McAudrews und Ruda
sill, of the hospital, was to the abovo
effect. Dr. Belbelmer, of Olyphant, testi
fied that the dor. -nsod called upon him for
treatment May 23, but ho would not vent
ure a definite opinion as to the complaint.
County Detective Shea visited Price
burg yesterday and found that Mulfavish
had been sick several days.
